UGRO XL 70 L – Coco Substrate Brick (30 × 30 × 12 cm)

Coco substrate is made by grinding and processing the outermost layer of the coconut, and is an alternative to more traditional substrates. It offers good water retention and properties that help aerate the root system, so the plant grows faster. It contains natural Trichoderma, a micro-organism that fights root rot and stimulates plant growth.

Coco bricks hold moisture very well, aerating the roots and providing more oxygen. Coco is used on its own as a hydroponic substrate or as part of a mix, improving the substrate’s physical structure. Coco fibre offers good air distribution, water storage capacity, low conductivity and freedom from disease. It is an excellent, 100% natural organic planting medium that supports healthy growth of roots, stems, leaves, flowers and fruit.

With a slow decomposition rate, it conditions the substrate and promotes an ideal average pH (5.5–6.1). With its naturally high lignin content — an organic substance that encourages beneficial micro-organisms in the root zone — it helps plants live longer.
