Why does the GroHo Garden cost €499?

We use materials made at Food Grade Standard that are UV stabilised and suitable. You won’t find a high quality or more durable product on the market.

With the GroHo Garden, you also no longer need to buy soil, fertiliser, mulch and gardening accoutrement, the cost of which adds up quickly. Everything you need to start growing comes with your first GroHo Garden order. More euros saved, with more successful harvests.

And last but not least, the facts is that the GroHo Garden save money. Based on the retail value of customers' average weekly yield - if you spend €20 a week on herbs, leafy greens, and veggies, your Airgarden will pay for itself in less than 7 months.

Where do you deliver to?

We deliver Europe wide. Depending on your location, delivery takes 3 to 7 business days.

Does the GroHo Garden come with a warranty?

The GroHo Garden unit (which includes all plastic components) is covered by a lifetime warranty. The pump is covered by a 2 year warranty.

How much electricity does the GroHo Garden use?

GroHo Garden is equipped with a low wattage submersible pump (25 watts only). The pump is programmed to be on for 15 minutes and off for 15 minutes on a continuous cycle with the help of a timer. The operational cost will vary depending on the rates of the power company within each geographical market. On average, it will cost about 1 euro per month/per tower.

How does the GroHo Garden deal with birds, bugs and other pests?

The GroHo Garden is far less susceptible to bugs, birds and pests as there is no soil involved. However, they can occasionally cause a few issues if left untreated.

What is aeroponics?

Developed by NASA as a means to grow food in space, Aeroponics is the process of growing plants in air or mist, without the use of soil.

This creates the ideal growing environment for plants – as aeroponics is conducted in air combined with micro-droplets of water, almost any plant can thrive. The materials which hold and support the aeroponic grown plants are also devoid of disease or pathogens (unlike with soil growing).

At GroHo Garden, we’ve adopted this innovative technology that results in faster growth, healthier plants, and bigger yields — all while using fewer resources.

What is the difference between aeroponics and hydroponics

Aeroponics differs from conventional hydroponics and aquaponics, as unlike these growing processes where plants are constantly submerged in a liquid nutrient solution as the growing medium, aeroponics is conducted without any growing medium at all.

In aeroponic systems like a GroHo Garden, roots are suspended in the air, exposed, and sprayed with a mist containing water and nutrients. The plants therefore access significantly higher levels of oxygenation allowing them to thrive with much less human intervention.

Aeroponics is the easiest way for people to grow plants.

Can I grow indoors?

Currently, the GroHo Garden can grow indoors and outdoors but it requires a minimum of 4 hours of direct sunlight each day.

However, we're always innovating and making improvements to our product, so make sure you subscribe to our e-newsletter, or follow us on Instagram and Facebook to stay in the loop.

Can I easily transport the GroHo Garden if I move house?

One of the best things about the GroHo Garden is that it's easily transportable, at any stage of growth. To transport the GroHo Garden, you can easily unpack and box up the unit (it is made of plastic so not heavy especially when disassembled), and then place plants in tupperware to transport them - they will last up to 12 hours outside the unit.

Does the GroHo Garden need to be kept undercover/out of the rain?

Nope! The Groho Garden is totally fine in the rain. The system is largely closed. Some rain water does get in but it's not a problem. You just check your PH levels each week with the PH testing kit required and adjust as needed, which keeps all water in the system regulated to ideal conditions for plants.

Can the GroHo Garden be turned off?

No, it can't be turned off. The pump system needs to be on at all times to ensure the plants receive the perfect levels of water and nutrients. However it's very quiet (you can't hear it when inside), so won't disturb neighbours or you when you're asleep!

How do you grow big fruiting plants like tomatoes & pumpkins?

With fruiting plants (e.g. tomatoes, beans, pumpkins) we recommend that you grow them on the bottom level of the GroHo Garden so they can grow out over the base reservoir and onto the ground.

If you want to avoid the plants touching the ground, what a lot of customers do is then put pots around / below the GroHo Garden to catch the vining fruits.

What nutrients are used to grow produce in a GroHo Garden??

We provide an optimal mineral nutrient supply. Actively stimulates the root development and provides as a complete fertilizer not only for growing but also for flowering. At GroHo Garden we have created these all-in-one fertilizers. which makes cultivating more user friendly. Instead of mixing two components you are just mixing one.

Is the GroHo Garden organic?

Plants grow without the use of any pesticides or herbicides and are not at risk of contaminated soils, making it even cleaner than organic produce.

To be considered ‘organic’, vegetables, herbs and fruits must be grown in a soil-based environment using a plant or an animal based fertiliser. As the GroHo Garden is soilless, it doesn’t have the label, but it has all the same good-ness.

How much direct sunlight does a GroHo Garden need?

We recommend a minimum of 4 hours of direct sunlight per day in order to get the maximum yield from a GroHo Garden - the more sun, the faster your plants will grow.

If you want to grow fruiting plants like tomatoes or cucumbers, 6 hours of direct sunlight is ideal.

If you are only growing herbs and leafy greens, you only need a minimum of 2 hours of direct sunlight to successfully grow.

What can I grow in the GroHo Garden?

There are 150 different herbs, fruits, vegetables and flowers that you can grow in the GroHo Garden. With 32 grow holes, you can grow 32 at once. The rule of thumb is if it doesn’t grow in the ground (e.g. a potato or a pumpkin) and it doesn’t grow on a tree (e.g. an apple or a banana), IT’S FAIR GAME!
