pH + EC + Temperature Meter Set – pH55 + EC59

The case with PH55 and EC59 pH, EC and temperature meters is a carrying and protective case for the meters.

These meters are recommended for the following sectors: agriculture, hydroponics, aquariums, swimming pools, water treatment, education, laboratories, etc.

Each pH and EC/temperature meter, models PH55 and EC59, operates as follows:

PH55

Operation

• Remove the protective cap
• Switch on the meter by pressing the ON / OFF button
• Place the electrode in the liquid to be measured
• The meter automatically compensates for temperature
• To switch off the meter, press the ON / OFF / CAL button.

Calibration

• Press the ON / OFF / CAL button until the OFF message is replaced by the CAL message
• The meter is in calibration mode and, with the message "pH7.01 use", can be immersed in the pH 7.01 calibration liquid
• The meter will show "OK" and ask to be immersed in a pH 4.01 liquid
• After immersing it in the pH 4.01 liquid, after a few seconds it will show "OK2" as it is calibrated at 2 points
• For a single-point calibration, place the measuring tip in a calibration liquid (PH4, PH7 or PH10)
• Press the ON / OFF / CAL button until calibration mode is reached
• The meter will recognise the liquid and calibrate when it shows OK
• To exit calibration mode, press the Set / Hold button.

Replacing the electrode

• Unscrew the white ring and replace the electrode and cable with a new one, taking care not to damage the connections.
• IMPORTANT: Never use distilled or deionised water as a storage liquid.

EC59

Operation

• Remove the protective cap. Switch on the EC59 by pressing the ON / OFF button
• Immerse the electrode in the liquid to be measured
• The EC59 automatically compensates for temperature
• To freeze the reading, press the SET / HOLD button
• To switch to TDS (ppm) measurement, press the SET / HOLD button
• To switch off the meter, press the ON / OFF / CAL button.

Calibration

• Press the ON / OFF / CAL button until the OFF message is replaced by the CAL message
• The meter is in calibration mode and, with the message "1413uS", asks to be immersed in the 1413 µS calibration liquid
• The meter will show "OK", meaning it is calibrated
• Once calibrated in µS, the EC59 meter is automatically calibrated in TDS (ppm)

Replacing the electrode

• Unscrew the white ring, remove the electrode and replace it with a new one, taking care not to damage the connections.
• To clean the electrode, a 2-minute bath in 1 cm of 90° alcohol is enough. Then rinse and dry with a cloth
