Milwaukee pH Meter with Probe – MW100

The MW100 pH meter is a probe for measuring the pH of liquids, with a BNC connector cable. The MW100 pH model measures 0.0-14.0 pH accurately with manual 2-point calibration (pH 7.01 and pH 4.01); with its wide screen, ergonomic design and safety strap, the MW100 electronic pH meter is a modern tool for fast, effective measurement. This portable device is ideal for field measurements and well suited to agriculture, hydroponics, aquariums, fish farming, laboratories, etc.

Operating the meter

The meter is supplied complete with a 9V battery

• Open the battery compartment cover on the back and insert the battery observing the polarity
• Always remove the electrode's protective cap before use
• If the electrode has been left dry, immerse it (up to 2.5 cm) for a few minutes in the rinsing liquid to reactivate the probe
• Immerse the pH electrode (2.5 cm) in the liquid provided
• Switch on the meter by pressing ON / OFF
• Wait for the reading to stabilise before actually taking it
• After measuring, put the cap back on the electrode with a few drops of storage liquid inside.

Calibration

• Remove the electrode's protective cap
• Immerse the electrode in a pH 7.01 calibration liquid and wait for the reading to stabilise
• Using the black PH7 calibration knob, adjust the reading to pH 7.0
• Open a sachet of pH 4.01 calibration solution and use a small amount of it to rinse the electrode
• Immerse the electrode in the pH 4.01 solution and read the value once it has stabilised
• Adjust the reading to pH 4.0 with the PH4 knob
• The meter is calibrated
• It is advisable to calibrate the meter at least once a month, or after a long period without use or after changing the electrode.
