PRODUCT DETAILS
ACCURATE. SIMPLE. RELIABLE. 24/7 PH/EC/TEMP MONITORING.
The MC811 MAX pH/EC/Temp meter lets you monitor your pH/TDS/Temp levels automatically 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
It automatically monitors and displays pH/EC/Temp levels. Simply calibrate the parameters and let the meter do the rest.
This meter is the favourite of people who want to know their pH and nutrient levels continuously, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Common uses are nutrient tanks, hydroponics and aquariums.
The MAX pH/TDS/Temp Meter offers
Accuracy
It offers ± 0.2 pH accuracy with manual two-point calibration, EC accuracy of ±2% of full scale and temperature accuracy of ±0.3 °C.
Automation
Simply calibrate the parameters and start monitoring 24/7!
Design features
- Fast, easy-to-read current results with 3 large BACKLIT digital LCD readouts.
- Accuracy of ±0.2 pH (0.0 pH to 12.0 pH).
- Accurate to ±2% EC full scale.
- Simple two-point pH and one-point EC calibration, for greater accuracy, with manual trimmers for easy adjustment.
- Laboratory-grade MA911B/2 double-junction, gel-filled pH electrode for low maintenance and high performance.
- 6.5-foot probe cables for greater flexibility during testing.
- 12 VDC power supply.
- Use and care
- pH meters usually start to malfunction because of problems with the probe. The two parts of the pH probe that cause problems are the glass sensing bulb and the reference junction.
You can extend the life of your pH electrode in the following ways:
Storage
The pH probe needs to be kept hydrated. Long periods of dry storage will damage the probe's sensitivity. Letting the probe dry out can also clog the junction opening.
Storing it in pH probe storage solution or pH calibration buffers will help solve both of these problems. Do not store in tap water, as this will damage the probe's sensitivity.
The best way to store the probe is with the probe cap filled with storage solution or calibration buffer and the cap screwed tight to prevent leaks. It is also recommended to store the electrode upright to further reduce the potential for leaks.
Cleaning
Sample residue can affect the sensitivity of the sensing bulb and clog the junction. This is especially true if the sample contains a lot of organic material.
We recommend regularly soaking your electrode in cleaning solution.
Calibration
pH sensing bulbs become less sensitive over time, so be sure to calibrate regularly to keep the MAX monitor accurate. Also calibrate after cleaning or a long period of storage.
